Our purpose...
The Student Ministry of First Baptist Church Cowpens exists to partner with parents and families to disciple, train, and commission students (grades 6-12) to glorify God by fulfilling God's call on their life as a believer in the church, home, and society.
Four Pillars of our Student Ministry
1. Teaching
Students will be primarily exposed to the teaching of the Word of God. Students will be taught the Scriptures at every weekly gathering, Sunday School, and at Student events (D-Now, camp, retreats, etc.).
3. Mission
Students will not only learn about Scripture but they will also be given the opportunity to apply those principles practically. From in-church actions to local community missions, to even mission trips, the students will be equipped and enabled to fulfill the missional call of the Christian life.
2. Discipleship
Along with being "poured into" by steady and consistent teaching of the Scriptures, students will be mentored, invested in, and discipled on a personal level.
4. Community
A key component of the student ministry will be its community. Regardless of function, event, trip, or anything else, the students will be provided with a Christ-centered community which will give them a place to feel safe, have fun, and be genuine.
