Nathan is our Lead Pastor at First Baptist Cowpens and joined us in March of 2023. Prior to that, he Pastored another church in Spartanburg County and was an Associate and Youth Pastor in the Sumter, SC area. He is a Georgia native and was raised in a pastor's home coming to know Christ personally at the age of ten. Nathan earned a B.A. from Piedmont University and Masters from Liberty University. He is married to Brittany (a Texas native), and they have four children. Nathan enjoys the outdoors, Georgia football, and catching a baseball game.
 
As a Bible teacher, he loves to help people understand and treasure the Bible and all the grace and mercy that they have been given. His ambition is to use his gifts to equip people to follow Jesus and lead them to tangibly impact the world for Christ.
 
One of his favorite passages of Scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:16-21.
